How to bake chicken with Rice in oven

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken cut into pieces
4.5 cups boiling water
3 carrots
2 onions
1 can (500 gr) peas
2 cups rice
1 tablespoon chicken broth powder
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation:
You can use the chicken pieces for this recipe without pre marinating.
But for better taste it is better to marinade the chicken pieces for couple of hours before cooking.
Here is an example of marinade:

Marinade:

Ingredients for marinade:
1.5 cups sweet chili sauce
4 tablespoons date syrup or honey
Salt, pepper, sweet paprika and basil
Marinade Preparation:
place one layer of chicken pieces in a container
add pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
teaspoon of sweet paprika and pinch of basil
third cup of sweet chili
2 teaspoons of date syrup
place additional layers of chicken and repeat the process like with the first layer

Place the container in the refrigerator for the night (at least 8 hours)

Cooking:
Preheat the oven to 250 ° C (480 ° F)
Cut the carrots into cubes
Cut the onions into cubes or half stripes
Fry the onions until softened
Scatter the onions, carrots and peas on the oven-tray
Add rice
Add boiling water, salt, pepper and chicken broth
Add the chicken pieces
Cover with aluminum foil
bake for hour and a half (250 ° C (480 ° F))
